Introduction of Hoodoo with The Hoodoo Queen,Co.Meadows : Folk of Hoodoo
Co.Meadows, best known as The Hoodoo Queen, is honored to present the Folk of Hoodoo at Atl Craft. This class introduces known and unknown communities to the origin of the people of Hoodoo. The Queen desires to begin with this class to help solidify the foundation of workers and practitioners, of that wish to practice African American Conjure. Being a descendant of African & Indigenous Spiritual workers documented and dating back to the early 1800’s, Co. Meadows, will be creating a clear image and providing the wisdom of the daily lives, traditions, and origins of African Folk Magic in the Southeast. Co.Meadows brings you the true foundation of why things were performed the way they were within the black communities of America. Knowing the reason behind why a magic was performed gives a person a more solid foundation to “how” one may go about working within that particular system. Co. Meadows, having over 3 decades as the successor of the Hoodoo and Obeah men and women of the family understands the importance of knowing the “Folk” of any Folk magic you claim.
Class will be from 7-9 pm. The doors will be locked by 7:15.
